Arugula Pepper Punch xxx
This peppery drink is packed full of chlorophyll, cancer-fighting antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. It
also has a light, peppery flavor that’s perfect for lunchtime.
• 1 cup arugula
• 1/2 whole watercress
• 1 stalk celery
• 1/2 pound lemongrass
• 1 green bell pepper, de-stemmed
• 1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
Yield: About 2 cups.

• 1 carrot with greens• 1 cucumber, quartered
• 1 apple, cored and quartered • 2 kale leaves
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy.

The health benefits of this delicious, spicy, salsa-flavored puree are out of this world. It includes numerous,
cancer-preventing antioxidants, and the lycopene in tomatoes helps keep your vision healthy. Capsaicin in
the jalapeño pepper and vitamin C in the lime and garlic help you avoid colds and maintain healthy
digestion. To control the spiciness, simply remove the pepper seeds.
• 1 tomato, cored
• 1 cucumber, quartered
• 1/2 lime, peeled
• 3 medium sprigs cilantro
• 1 green bell pepper, de-stemmed
• 1 jalapeño pepper, de-stemmed
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1 green onion
• Parsley, for garnish
• 1 teaspoon chopped scallions, for garnish
Combine all ingredients in your blender, and blend until smooth. Serve in a soup bowl, and garnish
with a sprig of parsley and chopped scallions.
Yield: About 3 cups.
Plumarita Punch xxx
This drink helps your body do everything from cure ulcers to prevent cancer. Plums also promote iron
absorption. This delicious punch is fruity and zesty but not overwhelmingly sweet—you may not even notice
the spinach and the cabbage.
• 2 cups spinach
• 1 plum, seeded
• 1 cup cabbage
• 1 green apple, cored and quartered
• 1/2 lime, peeled
Simply puree everything together in your blender. If you’d like to have it a bit thinner, add 1/4 cup
water.
Yield: About 2 1/2–3 cups.
South of the Border Smoothie xxx
Avocados are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help you maintain brain health as well as fight cancer,
depression, wrinkles, and a host of other diseases. Vitamins A and C are both powerful antioxidants, and
this smoothie contains a ton of each. Reminiscent of salsa because of the tomatoes and cilantro, this
smoothie is both filling and delicious.
• 1 green onion
• 1 tomato
• 1 small sprig cilantro
• 1 avocado, pitted and peeled
• 1/2 lime, peeled
Blend everything together, adding 1/4 cup water if you’d like for it to be thinner.
Yield: About 2 cups.
